This agreement was established to build a resource circulation system through the separate disposal and recycling activation of coffee capsules. Dongseo Food will produce the necessary supplies for separate disposal of coffee capsules and guide consumers on the proper method of disposing of coffee capsules. The Ministry of Environment will support administrative systems and policies to promote separate disposal and recycling of coffee capsules. The Korea Post plans to cooperate for efficient collection of coffee capsules by utilizing postal logistics infrastructure such as mailboxes.

Previously, since November last year, Dongseo Food has been operating the 'Green Tomorrow with Kanu' aluminum capsule recycling program. This program collects used aluminum capsules from Kanu coffee, then separates them into aluminum and coffee grounds for recycling.

Currently, collection is only possible through online applications, but through this agreement, offline collection via postal logistics will also be possible in the future. Consumers who have used Kanu Barista capsules can place the used capsules in a designated bag and put it into a mailbox, where it will be collected and sent to a recycling facility.

Park Young-soon, Vice President of Dongseo Food, said, "We will continue to strive to contribute to creating a sustainable environment."
