Contributing to the Spread of 'Entrepreneurship' by Leveraging Experience as an Outside Director of the Foundation
Asan Nanum Foundation announced on the 18th that it has appointed Eom Yun-mi, director of Doseo Culture Foundation Ssiat, as the new chairman. Since 2021, Chairman Eom Yun-mi has served as an outside director of the Asan Nanum Foundation, providing advisory roles for various projects operated by the foundation to promote entrepreneurship.
Chairman Eom also works at Doseo Culture Foundation Ssiat and concurrently serves as an outside director of LG Uplus. She has previously served as the CEO of C Program, a venture philanthropic company.
Chairman Eom said, “I feel a heavy responsibility in taking on the role of chairman of the Asan Nanum Foundation,” and added, “Based on my experience as an outside director of the foundation, I will strive to widely spread Asan’s entrepreneurial spirit throughout the startup and social innovation ecosystem during my two-year term.”
The Asan Nanum Foundation is a public interest foundation launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of the late Asan Chung Ju-yung, founder of Hyundai, and was established in October 2011. It carries out various projects such as ‘Entrepreneurship Education’ to nurture future entrepreneurs and social innovators, ‘Youth Startup Support’ to help those dreaming of starting a business with their challenges and growth, ‘Social Innovation Support’ to back social innovation activities creating a better future based on entrepreneurship, and ‘Innovation Ecosystem Formation’ through research material development and partnership expansion. The foundation also operates the entrepreneurship platform ‘MARU,’ providing startups with extensive support including space infrastructure, networks, and education.
