Six types of 'frozen fried rice' including Chadol Kkakdugi Fried Rice and Shrimp Fried Rice will be discounted by up to 3,000 won, increasing the number of cost-effective products priced under 10,000 won.

Essential products such as kimchi, milk, and bottled water are also included in the price cuts. Emart decided on this price reduction to instill the motto of "selling essential products at affordable prices" into Peacock as well, aiming to enhance grocery competitiveness and customer satisfaction. Peacock plans to strengthen its identity as a 'premium cost-effective' brand by selling key products at optimal prices, combining quality and price competitiveness.

Peacock will also accelerate product development. It plans to develop more than 100 new products and renew over 50 existing products in the second half of this year. Product development will focus on items applying chef recipes from the Peacock Secret Laboratory and launching unique collaboration products. Through market research, Peacock aims to allow customers to experience various dining menus at home, developing Southeast Asian gourmet dishes such as 'Singapore Cereal Shrimp' and 'Thai Tom Yum Wonton.' Existing products will also be periodically evaluated and renewed to improve quality.

No Byeong-gan, head of Peacock PL products, said, "By implementing price reductions on essential food items, Peacock is joining the frontline to strengthen Emart’s core business competitiveness," adding, "As Emart’s premium food brand, we will also focus on developing and renewing high-quality products that meet customer expectations."
