Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, made a special request on the 17th to do their best to prevent any student damage related to the heavy rain concentrated in the Gyeonggi area.
After receiving a report on the activation preparation of the situation management task force on that day, Superintendent Lim said, "The Provincial Office of Education is preparing to ensure that students do not suffer damage from the heavy rain in the Gyeonggi area," and emphasized, "For this, help from schools in the field is necessary."
He continued, "Special attention is needed for the safety of students living in school dormitories," and urged, "The Provincial Office of Education should do its best until this heavy rain passes."
Accordingly, the Provincial Office of Education plans to inspect facilities at risk of collapse such as retaining walls and embankments, accident-prone facilities, and dormitories, and to minimize damage caused by the heavy rain and prioritize student safety through continuous monitoring.
