The 'Dahamtge Dolbom Center' is a facility established and operated by local governments to provide care services outside of regular school hours for elementary school students, aiming to eliminate blind spots in elementary care. It offers customized services to elementary students in need of care regardless of their parents' income level.
The "7th Mobile Corps Sangseung Branch" will be prepared with an area of 110㎡ and can care for about 20 children. The city plans to start remodeling next month and begin operations around October. This is the third time Icheon City has established a Dahamtge Dolbom Center in military housing, following the Army Aviation Command and the Army Special Warfare Command.
Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon City, said, "We will do our best to continuously cooperate with the military to eliminate blind spots in elementary care and reduce the childcare burden on military personnel."
