Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province is implementing the "Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Project," which provides up to 100,000 KRW per year for exam fees for national technical qualifications, language proficiency, and Korean history exams. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on unemployed youth and promote employment.

The support is available to unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 who are registered residents of Yangsan City. Only exams actually taken from January 2024 onwards are eligible for support; applications for exams that are only registered but not yet taken are not eligible.

The program will support approximately 300 individuals. Yangsan City has completed consultations with the Ministry of Health and Welfare to establish this new social security system, and secured a full city budget of 30 million KRW in the June supplementary budget. Online applications will be accepted through the "Yangsan City Integrated Reservation System - Support Application" during designated periods each month in the second half of this year (from July until the budget is exhausted).

The first application period is from 9:00 AM on July 25 to midnight on July 30. Those who miss this window can check the application periods for each round from August to December and apply accordingly. However, support is available only until the budget is exhausted, so the program may end early without further application rounds depending on the order of applications.
