aespa 'Armageddon' Billboard 200 No. 25
BTS Suga 'D-Day' Re-enters at No. 169
The group 'aespa' set a new record for 4th generation girl groups on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200'.
According to Billboard on the 16th (local time), aespa's first full-length album 'Armageddon' debuted at number 25 on the 'Billboard 200' chart dated the 20th.
With this, aespa became the first 4th generation K-pop girl group to have five consecutive albums enter the top 40 of the 'Billboard 200'.
Previously, aespa ranked 3rd with their 2nd mini album 'Girls', 9th with their 3rd mini album 'my world', 20th with their 1st mini album 'Savage', and 33rd with their 4th mini album 'Drama' on the same chart.
Before aespa, the only K-pop girl group to achieve this record was the 3rd generation girl group 'TWICE'.
Additionally, 'Armageddon' debuted at number 1 on this week's Billboard World Albums chart. It also ranked 2nd on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart. On the Billboard Artist 100, it placed 17th.
BTS member SUGA's solo album 'D-DAY', released last year, re-entered the 'Billboard 200' this week at number 169. This resurgence was due to the recent vinyl (LP) sales of 'D-DAY' being reflected on the chart.
'D-DAY' originally debuted at number 2 on the chart upon release and stayed on the 'Billboard 200' for a total of six weeks.
ATEEZ's 10th mini album 'GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1' rose eight spots from last week to rank 67 on this week's 'Billboard 200'. They achieved the feat of climbing the chart for two consecutive weeks and have charted for a total of six weeks.
The top spot on the Billboard 200 was claimed by American pop star Taylor Swift. Swift maintained her position at number one for 12 consecutive weeks with her 11th full-length album 'The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD)', setting a new personal record for the longest time at number one.
