Former President Donald Trump was shot during a campaign rally, and controversy has arisen after an FBI employee posted a message expressing disappointment that he survived.

Kyle Seraphin, who hosts a podcast in the United States, claimed on his X (formerly Twitter) account that "Jenna Howell, an employee of the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), was suspended after posting a message expressing disappointment over the failed assassination attempt on former President Trump."

Earlier, Jenna posted a photo on her Facebook showing a claw machine with the Grim Reaper seemingly trying to grab a Trump doll. The photo included the phrase "SO CLOSE." Jenna also posted another message saying, "You hillbillies who love guns and the Second Amendment better just sit down and be quiet unless you plan to change your mind about gun control." The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states that "no one shall infringe upon the right." Jenna is known to oppose gun ownership.

However, former President Trump has strongly advocated for gun ownership rights. Citing the "Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution," Trump once said, "In my second term, I will defeat all of Biden's attacks on the Second Amendment." President Joe Biden has emphasized the need for gun control.

Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the 13th, former President Trump was shot and injured during an election rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania, and was transported to a hospital. About six minutes after beginning his campaign speech, Trump was shot multiple times, with a bullet penetrating above his right ear, causing bleeding. Immediately after the attack, Trump was taken by vehicle to a nearby medical facility for treatment and follow-up care. On the 15th, Trump appeared at the Republican National Convention with a square bandage on his ear.
