On the 15th, a post titled "I sent my wife 17 million won and got nagged" was uploaded on an online community. The author, Mr. A, who verified his employment at a large corporation, began by saying, "Today, I received my performance bonus and immediately sent 17 million won to my wife, but instead of praise for my hard work, she complained about me cutting off the last digits."

According to the text messages Mr. A shared, he copied and sent the transfer details of 17 million won to his wife, asking for praise, saying, "It's thrilling." However, his wife responded, "Why did you cut off the last part?" Mr. A's total bonus was 17,046,662 won, but she was dissatisfied because he did not send 46,000 won.

Mr. A explained, "46,000 won is leftover change," but his wife scolded him, saying, "This is why you get criticized even after giving 17 million won. You should have given me the full amount and then asked for the 46,000 won. I hate it when you always cut off the leftover amounts like this. Whether it's a thousand won or whatever, it makes me feel bad."

Mr. A expressed his frustration, saying, "The more I think about it, the angrier I get. I'm not asking for anything special; I just sent the amount after cutting off the last digits without much thought. Was I supposed to send the exact last digits too? If I had sent the full amount, would she have been very satisfied and praised me for my hard work? It's really tough."

Netizens who read the story reacted with comments such as, "If the wife is a full-time housewife, why did he hand over all financial control to her?", "What did he do wrong in his past life?", "Is this how it is after marriage?", "If my child got treated like that by his wife after marriage, I would cry tears of blood," and "46,000 won is just an excuse. She probably just didn't like her husband."

Netizen B advised, "If it were me, I wouldn't need the full 17 million won; if I got 7 million won, I would say 'thank you,' bow, and prepare lots of delicious food to appreciate a hard month. It's not about greed; 7 million won is an enormous amount for monthly living expenses. It seems the wife doesn't appreciate her husband's hard work, so it would be better to quickly regain financial control."

On the other hand, some sided with the wife, saying, "It would have been fine if the performance bonus details were disclosed from the start," and "It's not about 46,000 won but a matter of trust between the couple."
