Selected Solo Dining Restaurants Near Major Tourist Attractions Such as Daeheungsa and Usuyeong Areas
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced 36 ‘Honbap Dangdang’ locations to support the solo dining culture.
According to the county on the 17th, Honbap Dangdang restaurants were created for customers dining alone, and selections have been conducted since May last year targeting restaurants to realize this.
The newly selected Honbap Dangdang establishments consist of a total of 36 diverse restaurants, including 19 in the Daeheungsa area, 8 in the Usuyeong area, 2 in the Ttangkkeut area, and 6 in the Haenam-eup area.
All of these are located near tourist attractions for solo travelers, providing a dining culture where they can comfortably enjoy meals alone. In particular, the Daeheungsa area was fully selected as Honbap Dangdang establishments, helping solo tourists use them conveniently.
Haenam-gun plans to officially certify Honbap Dangdang restaurants to guide tourists in easily finding these restaurants, thereby encouraging continuous interest and visits.
Haenam-gun will also provide hygiene supplies to Honbap Dangdang restaurants and continuously monitor their operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
Additionally, a hygiene sterilization service will be implemented to improve sanitary conditions, aiming to create an environment where customers can comfortably dine alone.
A county official stated, “Although the number of solo customers is increasing, restaurants face difficulties with single-portion orders due to various factors,” and added, “We will support a dining culture where people can enjoy Haenam’s flavors and culture even when dining alone.”
Accordingly, Honbap Dangdang restaurants are expected to offer customers a refined solo dining experience.
