Camping Decks and Forest Playground Built for 3.1 Billion Won
Yuseong District in Daejeon announced that the Forest Camping Site, established at the Seongbuk-dong Forest Bath, will officially open on August 26.
The Seongbuk-dong Forest Camping Site was built with an investment of 3.15 billion KRW and is equipped with 30 camping decks, a forest playground, a visitor information center, an indoor playground, and restrooms.
The district expects the Seongbuk-dong Forest Camping Site to become a popular healing destination in nature, as it boasts excellent natural surroundings such as water and forests, while not being far from the city center.
The district has entrusted the operation to the Daejeon City Forestry Cooperative through an open recruitment process, and reservations will be accepted via the Seongbuk-dong Forest Camping Site website starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 20.
Jung Yongrae, head of Yuseong District, said, "Through the opening of the Forest Camping Site, we will strive to ensure that both local residents and visitors can enjoy the various public benefits provided by the forest and that a nature-friendly tourism environment can be established."
