Educational Research Information Institute Provides Guidelines on Remote Class Utilization
Ulsan Education Research and Information Institute (Director Kim Kyunghee) has developed and distributed two types of video guides on how to use the 'Ulsan e-Learning Platform' to minimize class disruptions and smoothly support remote classes at schools during natural and social disasters such as typhoons and epidemics.
The developed guide videos consist of two versions: one for teachers and one for students. These videos are available on the Ulsan Education Research and Information Institute's YouTube channel, 'Ulsan Education Research and Information Institute TV', making them easily accessible for use in schools affected by disasters.
The 'teacher version' consists of two videos: a basic and an advanced guide. The basic guide covers how to set up courses and video classes, as well as how to help students who have forgotten their IDs log in.
The advanced guide focuses on how to check student participation during video classes, create quizzes, conduct surveys, and effectively deliver class materials using the screen sharing function.
The 'student version' consists of two short videos: one on how to access the platform and one on how to use it. The access guide shows how to join video classes set up by teachers, while the usage guide focuses on how to communicate or ask questions to teachers during classes.
Kim Kyunghee, Director of the Ulsan Education Research and Information Institute, said, "We expect these contents to be of great help in maintaining continuity of learning even during disaster situations," adding, "We will do our best to develop various educational materials to improve the quality of classes."
