'Bang' Explosion Sound Followed by Screams ... One Dead in Miryang Apartment Fire

A fire broke out with an explosion sound on the 6th floor of a six-story apartment in Hanam-eup, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam.

At around 8:57 a.m. on the 17th, a fire broke out with an explosion sound on the sixth floor of a six-story apartment building in Hanam-eup, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam.

According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, one unidentified man was found dead on the stairs next to the sixth-floor entrance due to the fire.

Four people, including a woman in her 80s, a man and woman in their 60s, and a woman in her 50s, suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished by the fire authorities at around 9:19 a.m.

The fire authorities are investigating the possibility of additional casualties and the exact cause of the accident, based on a 119 report stating that apartment windows shattered and there was a 'bang' explosion sound along with screams.
