LM 500h to Launch Domestically on the 24th of This Month

Lexus Korea will launch the hybrid multipurpose vehicle (MPV) 'Lexus LM 500h' in the domestic market on the 24th of this month. It is attracting attention from Korean consumers with the concept of a new luxury protocol vehicle based on an eco-friendly powertrain.

The Lexus LM 500h is a flagship MPV model developed solely for passenger use, not shared with commercial vehicles. It features smooth and stable driving performance based on an eco-friendly hybrid powertrain. This vehicle can be used as a comfortable driving space, a resting area, and a private space suitable for work.

Lexus Korea targeted a niche market by noting the absence of luxury MPV competitors based on hybrid technology in the domestic market. The Toyota hybrid MPV Alphard, launched domestically last year, succeeded in the Korean market despite its price approaching 100 million KRW. This indicates the potential demand for luxury protocol vehicles in Korea.

In the domestic market, it will be available in two models: a 4-seater Royal Grade and a 6-seater Executive Grade. The rear seats of the 4-seater model are equipped with a dedicated 48-inch wide screen and optimized VIP seats. Almost all functions such as various seat angle adjustments, massage functions, lighting, climate control, sunshade, and audio can be controlled via a touch controller located in front of the second-row seat armrest.

Based on the 'GA-K platform,' the LM 500h is equipped with a 2.4ℓ inline 4-cylinder turbo hybrid engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The electronic all-wheel-drive system (DIRECT4) ensures traction and driving stability. The price of the Lexus LM 500h is 196 million KRW for the 4-seater Royal Grade and 148 million KRW for the 6-seater Executive Grade (including VAT).
