The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting booth participants for the '2024 Suwon Food Culture Expo' until the 31st of this month.
The Suwon Food Culture Expo is an event held from October 4 to 6 during the 61st Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival at the parking lot annexed to the Suwon Hwaseong Museum. Unlike traditional food festivals focused mainly on food sales, this festival encourages private sector participation and offers visitors a variety of experiential activities.
This year, Suwon City will organize the expo into themed zones including ▲Business Hall (food products, equipment, vegan-related products, etc.) ▲Saebit Restaurant (general and rest area eateries) ▲Masilgeori Hall (food trucks) ▲Suwon Galbi History Hall.
The Business Hall is open to businesses nationwide, while Saebit Restaurant is limited to businesses located in Suwon City. Each Saebit Restaurant participant is limited to selling 2 to 4 items, and the selling price must include items priced at 8,000 KRW or less.
To participate in the Masilgeori Hall, food trucks must have a business registration certificate, and discounts must be offered to tourists who use tumblers.
Businesses wishing to participate can visit the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr), search for '2024 Suwon Food Culture Expo Food Booth Participant Recruitment Extension Notice,' download the application form, complete it, and submit it via email to chokochoko@korea.kr.
The email subject line should be '2024 Suwon Food Culture Expo Participation Application (Applicant's Name)'.
Suwon City will announce the selected participants on August 16 after document screening. Pre-event training for participants will be held from August 28 to September 4.
