When Asked About Motive, He Speaks Nonsense
A man who threatened pedestrians with a weapon near Seoul Station was arrested by the police.
According to the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul on the 16th, a man identified as A was arrested on suspicion of special intimidation around 3:53 p.m. the previous day near Seoul Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, while carrying a weapon.
A is accused of wandering around the smoking area in front of Exit 15 of Seoul Station holding a weapon and threatening passersby.
The police responded to a report stating, "A man is holding a weapon and causing a threat," and arrested A on the spot. There were no casualties.
A is known to be a homeless person who usually wanders around the Seoul Station area and was recently released from prison. During the police investigation, he admitted to threatening pedestrians with the weapon but gave incoherent answers regarding his motive.
The police stated, "Due to concerns about reoffending, he was booked after being arrested on the spot, and we plan to request an arrest warrant."
