The Gwangjin District Council (Chairperson Jeon Eun-hye) elected Councilor Jeon Eun-hye as the Chairperson of the 9th Gwangjin District Council's second half during the 7th plenary session of the 272nd extraordinary meeting on the 15th.
The newly appointed Chairperson Jeon Eun-hye (Jayang 3,4-dong, Hwayang-dong) is a re-elected councilor of the 8th and 9th Gwangjin District Council. She previously served as the Vice Chairperson in the first half of the 8th council and as the Chairperson of the Council Operations Committee in the second half. She will lead the 9th council's second half for the next two years.
Chairperson Jeon expressed her gratitude, saying, "I thank my fellow councilors for electing me as Chairperson," and added, "I will do my best to ensure that the council works in harmony and communication, carrying out substantial legislative activities to improve the welfare of district residents and the development of district administration."
Meanwhile, the Gwangjin District Council plans to hold the 8th plenary session on the 16th to elect the Vice Chairperson, and once the formation of the standing committees, including the election of their chairpersons, is completed, full-scale legislative activities will commence.
