‘Midsummer Night Pilates’ Class, Participation Expanded from Women in Their 20s-40s to Gwangjin Residents
Applications Open July 16-22 on District Office Website... 25 Participants per Session on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
Free Participation Fee, Total 5 Sessions Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays Starting June 30
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is operating a "Midsummer Night Pilates" class for exercising at night to promote the health of its residents.
First introduced last summer, "Midsummer Night Pilates" was held at Ttukseom Hangang Park targeting female office workers and students, considering the busy schedules of modern people, and received great response.
This time, the participation target has been expanded to all Gwangjin-gu residents, and the location has been changed to Gwangjin Supnaru to help relieve tension accumulated throughout the day and improve physical strength. Also, with an experienced Pilates instructor team, participants can enjoy a unique experience including various exercise techniques and warm-up movements in an outdoor, different space away from daily life.
The classes will be held a total of 5 times from the 30th of this month to August 13th, every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 PM for one hour. Participants should bring their own yoga mats and water, and the participation fee is free.
The registration period is from the 16th to the 22nd of this month, and 25 people per session will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who wish to participate can apply on the Gwangjin-gu Office website.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "We have prepared an exercise program utilizing the evening hours so that various age groups can participate," and added, "We hope you finish your day by exercising in a unique space and relieving stress."
