Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 16th that it delivered 10 Sarangui Gureumikas, mobility aids produced by the Hanwha Aerospace Technical Volunteer Team, along with daily necessities to elderly residents with limited mobility at the Seochon 1-gu Village Senior Center in Masanhappo-gu.
The Sarangui Gureumika project is part of a corporate social responsibility initiative, in which the Hanwha Aerospace Technical Volunteer Team provides budget support and manufactures silver cars tailored to the body types of elderly individuals to assist with their mobility.
At the delivery ceremony, 25 representatives from the Changwon Volunteer Center, Hanwha Aerospace, Gyeongsangnam-do Volunteer Center, and the Women's Leader Volunteer Group attended, explained the production process and usage of the Sarangui Gureumika, and also delivered daily necessities.
Shim Dongseop, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, said, "We are grateful for your sharing and volunteer efforts to ensure the safe mobility of local seniors. We will continue to strive to improve the welfare of the elderly."
