The ‘SeomSeom Yeosu Healing Shelter The Seom’ VR Experience Center in Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) is attracting strong interest both domestically and internationally.
According to the city on the 16th, the Korea Culture Information Service Agency visited ‘SeomSeom Yeosu Healing Shelter The Seom’ on the 13th and filmed an introduction video of the ‘The Seom VR Experience Center’ as a way to enjoy the hot summer coolly.
The video filmed that day will be broadcast through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Culture Portal, KTX and Airport Railroad broadcasts, YouTube, and more.
Meanwhile, the ‘VR Experience Center,’ which has been operating since April 2022, is themed ‘Meet Another Yeosu’ and consists of programs such as a hot air balloon experience where visitors can enjoy panoramic videos of Yeosu’s 10 scenic spots, a roller coaster experience connecting Yeosu SeomSeom-gil to Odongdo, and a drone experience linking islands, the sea, and the future.
In addition, it serves multiple functions including a tourist information center, specialty product store, food bank, and caf?, providing various convenience information to tourists visiting Yeosu SeomSeom-gil.
A city official stated, “We expect that The Seom VR Experience Center will play a significant role in many people choosing Yeosu as a summer getaway,” and added, “We will continue to discover tourism content integrated with smart technology to showcase Yeosu’s endless charm.”
