Alleviating Anxiety About Childbirth and Parenting, Promoting Health in Families with Infants and Toddlers
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the 「Happy Mom Support Program」, which was held once a week for a total of five sessions from June 14 to July 12, concluded with great enthusiasm from the participants.
This program was designed to alleviate anxieties related to childbirth and childcare and to promote the health of families with infants and young children.
The program began with experts providing information on postpartum depression prevention and treatment through the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale self-assessment, followed by various themed sessions including ▲Time to Know Myself ▲Making a Celebration Cake for Me and My Child ▲Art Counseling Therapy ▲Finding My Own Scent ▲Cradle in the Forest.
In the final session, participants took a walk together in the garden inside Ssangsan-jae and enjoyed refreshments while sharing their childcare experiences in a communication time.
Notably, County Governor Kim Soon-ho attended the event, listened to difficulties related to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare, and encouraged the mothers.
Participants expressed satisfaction, saying, “It was a valuable time where we could learn various childcare information and how to cherish and love ourselves more.”
Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “Happy moms create a happy Gurye,” and added, “We will continue to plan and implement various programs that can further enhance the health and happiness index of mothers.”
