15 Selected Works from 1st and 2nd Public Competitions on Display
Jayang Station Exit 3 'Hangang Story Exhibition Hall'
Seoul City announced on the 16th that the selected works from the ‘Urban Architecture Design Innovation Project’ contest will be exhibited from the 17th of this month until the 31st of next month.
The city has been conducting the Urban Architecture Design Innovation Project contest to enhance urban value through innovation in urban architecture design. This exhibition will feature a total of 15 works, including 9 selected in the first round and 6 in the second round. In addition, image panels and videos related to major projects led by the city’s Future Space Planning Office, such as the Yongsan International Business District plan, the Seoripul open storage design contest, the Banpo District Han River Connection Park design contest, and the Nodeul Global Art Island creation design contest, will also be displayed.
The exhibition will be held at the ‘Hangang Story Exhibition Hall’ near Exit 3 of Jayang Station on Subway Line 7, and will be held in conjunction with the ‘2024 Seoul International Garden Expo.’ Citizens can visit free of charge without prior application. The visiting hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The exhibition hall is closed on Mondays.
Im Chang-su, Director of the Future Space Planning Office of Seoul City, stated, “Through this exhibition held in conjunction with the Seoul International Garden Expo, we aim to share with citizens the progress and achievements of the Seoul urban architecture design innovation project.” He added, “We will continue to carry out the urban architecture design innovation project to create landmarks that citizens can enjoy in their daily lives close to their everyday lives.”
