17 Universities Including Pukyong National University to Hold Joint Online Job Fair

Mentoring by Professionals in 50 Fields and Job Skill Projects

The National Pukyong National University Career Plus Center (Director: Kim Taegyu) announced on the 16th that it recently held the 2024 Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Joint Online Job Fair.

This job fair, organized as a regional governance program by 17 universities in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam areas to strengthen youth career and employment capabilities, was held entirely online with the participation of over 500 university students and local youth.

During this joint online job fair, various programs were offered, including 'Job Mentoring,' where young people could meet professionals to gain the latest job information, as well as 'Employment Special Lectures' and 'Employment Support Consulting.'

For the job mentoring program, 50 professionals working in 50 different fields such as engineering, humanities and business, IT, and public institutions participated as mentors, sharing real work experiences, daily routines, key work processes, the qualities sought by employers, and recruitment trends in each sector.

Additionally, the employment special lectures featured ten topic-specific sessions to help participants prepare for employment, while the employment support consulting provided tailored services such as document and interview clinics and career counseling.

In particular, Pukyong National University and four other universities are also running a 'Job Practice Project' program for two weeks from the 8th to the 19th, following the online job fair, to maximize the effectiveness of career and employment support.

About 370 university students and local youth participating in the program are completing online training courses in fields such as IT, marketing and overseas sales, production quality, accounting, and research and development.

Pukyong National University and other universities in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, which organized the event, are operating the Ministry of Employment and Labor's University Career Center Plus Project, providing a variety of career and employment support programs and services for university students, and are making efforts to support local youth employment through joint events and other initiatives.
