Global Cognac House 'Maison Ferrand' Partners with Us
Official Import of Plantation Rum, Ferrand Cognac, and Citadel Gin
Comprehensive liquor company Ayang FBC announced on the 16th that it will exclusively import 'Plantation Rum', 'Ferrand Cognac', 'Ferrand Dry Curacao', and 'Citadelle Gin' by partnering with the world-renowned cognac specialist company 'Maison Ferrand'.
This partnership between Ayang FBC and Maison Ferrand was established to expand the business portfolio in response to the continuously growing Bar & Lounge market and to quickly meet customer demand for experiencing various types of liqueurs.
The most notable product in this official import is 'Plantation'. Plantation was founded in 1997 by master distiller Alexander Gabriel and is the rum brand most preferred by bartenders from the World’s 50 Best Bars. It was selected as the best product at 'The Spirit Awards' and won the Best Aged Rum category at the 2018 San Francisco 'World Spirit Competition'. Through this partnership, Ayang FBC will officially import seven types of Plantation products.
As a traditional cognac house, Maison Ferrand’s cognac is also considered a key product. Ferrand Cognac 1840 is an original 19th-century style cognac developed with the participation of world-renowned cocktail historian David Wondrich to express the terroir of Grande Champagne. It combines ripe grape aromas with spices and honey scents, and has a higher alcohol content (45%) than typical cognacs, delivering a rich flavor. Ferrand Dry Curacao is an orange liqueur distilled from Laraha oranges, made with Ugni Blanc for cognac and various grape varieties used for brandy and wine distillates.
The gin product, Citadelle Gin, was selected as the trendiest best-selling gin by the World’s 50 Best Bars. It is produced using only the finest organic French wheat and is called a premium French gin created from 19 botanical ingredients through a patented method.
Maison Ferrand is a global cognac company reborn in 1989 by Alexander Gabriel, inheriting the heritage of the traditional French cognac house Pierre Ferrand. Pierre Ferrand is a family-run business that has owned a cognac house and its own winery for ten generations over four centuries, managing everything from grape cultivation, fermentation, distillation, aging, and bottling to building a long-established distribution network. Especially after Alexander Gabriel’s acquisition, Maison Ferrand has focused more on its long-held eco-friendly philosophy and produces a variety of spirit products through aging and blending in their own style.
