The 2nd Industry-Academia Cooperation Conference Held
LG Energy Solution held an industry-academia cooperation session to share outstanding research achievements with domestic battery academia talents.
On the 15th, LG Energy Solution announced on the 16th that it held the '2nd Industry-Academia Cooperation Conference' at the Daejeon Technology Research Institute, attended by about 200 professors and master's and doctoral students from major domestic universities.

A total of 14 major university professors and master's and doctoral students attended, and from LG Energy Solution, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Executive Director Kim Jeyoung, Vice President and Head of Future Technology Center Jeong Geunchang, Vice President and Head of Automotive Development Center Choi Seungdon, Executive Director and Head of Small Development Center Noh Sewon, and Senior Executive Director and Head of ESS (Energy Storage System) Battery Development Center Jeong Hoeguk participated.
The conference consisted of presentations on excellent industry-academia cooperative battery research achievements by university researchers, poster presentations of graduate students' research results, and an LG Energy Solution recruitment briefing session. Latest research results related to key battery materials such as anode materials, cathode materials, separators, and electrolytes were presented, and various research findings elucidating battery materials and technical mechanisms were shared in the analysis field.
Research to advance BMS (Battery Management System) and manufacturing processes using advanced techniques such as deep learning and digital twin, along with studies on improving battery quality through manufacturing intelligence and process innovation, attracted attention.
In the poster presentation session showcasing graduate students' research achievements by university, 24 outstanding posters were selected and awarded. Selected candidates will receive benefits such as exemption from document screening and special screening when applying for future employment at LG Energy Solution.
LG Energy Solution held a recruitment briefing session that day to introduce the company's future growth vision and strategic direction, job roles, and talent development programs. From a research building tour where participants could experience LG Energy Solution's products and technologies in one place to an electric vehicle test drive event featuring GM Hummer EV and Porsche Taycan equipped with LG Energy Solution's electric vehicle batteries, various experiences were offered.
CTO Kim Jeyoung said, "Through this conference sharing excellent academic achievements, we were able to further solidify LG Energy Solution's technological leadership and secure future talents," adding, "We will actively pursue industry-academia cooperation to lead future industries and create differentiated customer value."
