The LG OLED Evo received a special jury prize for the entire product line. It also won gold awards, the highest honors, in the OLED TV categories for sizes 70 to 80 inches (77G4), 60 to 70 inches (65G4), and under 45 inches (42C4), respectively.

Takashi Iwai, a VGP judge, commented, "LG OLED TVs are pioneering the future of new OLED technology," adding, "Based on the new artificial intelligence (AI) processor, the level of detail in image expression, color balance, and contrast ratio has evolved significantly."

Last year, LG Electronics' wireless OLED TV, the 'LG SIGNATURE OLED M,' which was the world's first, also received a special 'Planning Award.' LG's OLED technology, which wirelessly transmits 4K high-definition video, was highly praised.

The LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitor won the special prize in the gaming category for the entire product. The LG Gram Pro 2in1, 14-inch LG Gram, and LG MyView Smart Monitor also received awards.

In addition, the LG OLED Evo was selected as the best OLED TV under 50 inches in the OLED TV category by another video and audio specialized media, HiVi, in their 'HiVi Best Buy Summer 2024.'

Osamu Takatsu, a HiVi judge, introduced, "In OLED TVs where high image quality is key, the 42-inch size is a stage carefully cultivated by LG Electronics," and added, "(The LG OLED Evo) features excellent specifications supporting 4K image quality and 144Hz sound quality."

According to market research firm Omdia, the sales share of OLED TVs in the Japanese TV market last year was about 25%, more than twice that of the global TV market.

Seongju Son, head of LG Electronics Japan, said, "This award is very meaningful as it recognizes LG Electronics' solid OLED technology leadership built up in the image-quality-sensitive Japanese market," and added, "We will captivate Japanese consumers by emphasizing the differentiated viewing experience unique to LG OLED TVs."
