Korea Racing Authority Busan Dong-gu Branch Provides Meal Boxes for Elderly at Risk of Malnutrition

Donates 7 Million Won to Bongsaengdong-gu Senior Welfare Service Center

The Busan Dong-gu Branch of the Korea Racing Authority (Branch Manager Park Heetae) announced on the 15th that it delivered a donation of 7 million KRW on the 10th to the Bongsaeng Dong-gu Home Care Support Service Center in Dong-gu, Busan, to support "healthy lunchboxes for a healthy summer for elderly people living alone or with low income."


The donation ceremony, held at the center, was attended by Park Heetae, Branch Manager of the Busan Dong-gu Branch, Park Jinmi, Director of the Bongsaeng Dong-gu Home Care Support Service Center, and other related personnel.


This donation was planned to address the nutritional deficiencies and prevent meal skipping among vulnerable elderly people at risk of food insecurity due to recent increases in food prices.


The donation will be used to provide quality lunchboxes, including fruit lunchboxes and nutritious meals, to about 80 elderly people aged 65 or older registered with the center.


Park Heetae, Branch Manager of the Busan Dong-gu Branch, said, "I hope the healthy lunchboxes provided through this donation will offer some comfort to local elderly people suffering from hunger and loneliness," and added, "The Busan Dong-gu Branch will continue to take the lead in helping marginalized groups in the local community, including those from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds."
