This exploration is part of the Future Generation Happiness Fund scholarship program. Starting in New York on the East Coast of the United States, the students will visit Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, and more. The itinerary includes experiencing local American politics, economy, and culture through visits to the National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Memorial, and other sites.

Additionally, students will tour the campuses of world-renowned universities such as Harvard, MIT, and Yale. There will also be a career special lecture by Professor Kim Joohyun of Harvard University and a special lecture on artificial intelligence semiconductors by Professor Song Mingyu of MIT.

A Jinju City official stated, "We hope that through this overseas cultural exploration, students will have a valuable opportunity to experience diverse cultures, communicate with the world, and develop their capabilities as global talents."

Meanwhile, Jinju City has established a 50 billion KRW Future Generation Happiness Fund from 2019 to 2022, and with the interest income, has selected 1,174 scholarship students and awarded scholarships totaling over 1 billion KRW from 2021 to the present. The Overseas Advanced Culture Exploration for Outstanding Students, which was first implemented in January this year and is now in its second round, is conducted for local high school students during the summer and winter vacation periods.
