Chevrolet, a brand under General Motors (GM), launched the new pickup truck Colorado in the domestic market on the 15th.
The new Colorado is the 3rd generation model, a complete redesign introduced five years after the 2nd generation model was launched domestically in 2019.
First, looking at the exterior design, the front features a massive black radiator grille that connects with LED projection headlamps, creating a strong impression. The hood and bumper design, emphasized by bold character lines, highlight the rugged charm of a traditional off-roader. From the side, the straight body lines give a dynamic feel.
The interior has been upgraded to feel more advanced and luxurious compared to the previous model. An 11.3-inch color touchscreen and an 11-inch digital cluster are installed centrally and connected. Red stitching is applied throughout the air vents, center fascia, and center console box, adding a luxurious yet sporty touch.
The new Colorado’s powertrain is equipped with a 2.7ℓ direct injection gasoline turbo engine. This engine delivers a maximum output of 314 horsepower and a peak torque of 54 kg·m. It features higher maximum output and over 40% improved torque performance compared to the previous 3.6ℓ naturally aspirated engine.
The Colorado also offers towing capabilities and pickup-specific options suitable for a traditional American pickup truck. A trailer hitch receiver and connector (towing hook) are provided as standard options. Through this connector, it can easily tow objects weighing up to 3,492 kg.
Pickup-specific options include a rear sliding glass window that can be opened and closed. Additionally, there is a hidden storage space under the rear seats, a Stow Flex tailgate with built-in compartments for simple tools or cargo, and an Easy Lift-Lower tailgate that helps open and close the tailgate lightly and smoothly.
The new Colorado, an imported authentic American pickup truck, is launched in a single Z71 trim, priced at 72,790,000 KRW (based on the reduced individual consumption tax).
