From Job-Specific Current Employee Mentoring to Employment Consulting
Open to Job-Seeking Youth Aged 19 to 39
Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) is recruiting participants for the ‘Employment Club’ to help local university students and job-seeking youth prepare for employment.
The Dongjak Youth Employment Club was established to strengthen employment capabilities by providing job-seeking youth with employment special lectures and one-on-one consulting. In the first half of this year, a total of 585 people participated in the program. Reflecting the opinions of participating youth and encouraging interest in local companies, the program will be expanded in the second half of the year by adding individual mentoring and special lectures from local companies.
The district will conduct a total of 20 courses over 4 weeks, combining in-person common job lectures and employment consulting to help youth establish employment strategies, with non-face-to-face mentoring by current professionals by job type and special lectures from public enterprises and local companies.
The common job lectures will be held four times, covering topics such as how to write self-introduction letters and interview strategies. Only participants who attend the common lectures can receive one-on-one customized employment consulting from professional consultants. Job-specific mentoring by current professionals in fields such as marketing, sales, and IT will be conducted 10 times from the first to the third week.
The recruitment target is a total of 400 job-seeking youth aged 19 to 39 who live or are active in the district. Applications can be submitted until the day before each course. All courses can be taken multiple times or concurrently. For application methods and detailed information, inquiries can be made through the Noryangjin Youth Job Center.
Mayor Park Il-ha said, “I hope this project will greatly help strengthen the employment competitiveness of local youth,” and added, “We will continue to actively communicate with youth and discover practical policies that are truly needed.”
