Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association Appoints Jang Hyuk-jo as Executive Vice Chairman

The Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association (Chairman Lee Jae-yul) announced on the 14th that it has appointed Jang Hyuk-jo, former Director of the Standard Policy Division at the National Institute of Technology and Standards, as the new full-time Vice Chairman.

Vice Chairman Jang, born in 1967, graduated from Hoseo University (Department of Electrical Engineering) and earned a master's degree from Soongsil University. He began his public service career as an official at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (now the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy). Since 2014, he has held various positions including Director of the Cultural Service Standards Division, Chemical Service Standards Division, Conformity Assessment Division, Product Market Management Division, Electrical and Telecommunications Product Safety Division, and Standard Policy Division at the National Institute of Technology and Standards under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.


In his inaugural speech, Vice Chairman Jang stated, “In the rapidly changing domestic and international environment, I will closely communicate and cooperate to promote the development of the exhibition industry and enhance the rights and interests of member companies.” His term will last for three years, until July 2027.

The Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association was established in 2000 by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to strengthen and foster competitiveness in the exhibition industry. Currently, 76 members are registered, including trade and commerce-related organizations such as KOTRA and the Korea International Trade Association, as well as exhibition venues like COEX and KINTEX, and organizations and companies in exhibition hosting, design, and service sectors.
