Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, expressed full support on the 13th (local time) for former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the United States, who was injured in a shooting incident during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Yonhap News reported on the 14th (Korean time) Musk's posts on X (formerly Twitter). Musk wrote, "I fully support President Trump. Wishing him a speedy recovery." After the shooting, Musk posted a video showing former President Trump, surrounded by bodyguards, clenching his fist towards his supporters.
Later, Musk posted again, saying, "The last time the United States had such a strong candidate was Theodore Roosevelt." Roosevelt was shot in the chest during a 1912 presidential campaign rally. Although he was wearing a bulletproof vest, he refused hospital treatment and insisted on delivering a promised speech to voters, speaking for 90 minutes before stepping down. Musk then claimed that the Secret Service chief and the head of the security team should resign, holding them responsible for the failure to protect former President Trump.
