32 Long-Established Restaurants Including 'Icheon Imgeummamssalbapjip' Selected in Gyeonggi Region in 2022 22 Years of History: Exterior View of Icheon King’s Rice Restaurant in Gyeonggi-do

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has selected 32 ‘Gyeonggi Nopo’ establishments, including the 22-year-old Icheon Imgeummnim Ssaldapjip.

On the 14th, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced that it had selected 32 nopo establishments that have been in business for over 20 years and preserve local culture and traditions through a public contest held last May.

One of this year’s selected Gyeonggi Nopo, ‘Imgeummnim Ssaldapjip’ located in Sindun-myeon, Icheon-si, is a nopo with a 22-year history, famous for its Icheon rice dishes once presented to the king, and signature dishes such as soy sauce marinated crab and barley dried yellow corvina, crafted with the expertise of a Korean cuisine master chef, living up to its nickname “a must-eat before you die.”

Green Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, a representative winery in Daebu-do, Ansan-si, was also named a ‘Gyeonggi Nopo’ this year. Since planting the first grapevines in Daebu-do in 1954, it now produces 100,000 bottles of wine annually. For over 20 years, the cooperative members have been dedicated to producing and brewing wines that pair well with Korean food.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will support the newly selected nopo establishments with ▲ production of nopo signboards and certificates ▲ creation of storytelling card news, webzines, and storybooks ▲ tailored one-on-one consulting for content development, market expansion, and smart transformation ▲ production of newtro content ▲ development of themed tourist courses ▲ support for promotional marketing production.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province will operate a Gyeonggi Nopo Visit Week in the second half of this year, hosting various events such as a Gyeonggi Nopo experience pop-up store and a stamp tour using a walking app.
