Delivery Restaurants Near Tourist Attractions Targeted
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 3rd to the 12th, it conducted special hygiene guidance, inspections, and promotional activities to prevent food poisoning targeting restaurants and delivery food establishments around Yulpo Solbat Beach and tourist sites, which are frequently visited by tourists.
The inspection targets included about 90 places such as snack bars and Chinese restaurants with easy accessibility among restaurants and delivery food establishments around Yulpo Beach and Jaeamsan Natural Recreation Forest, which are popular with tourists.
The main activities on the day were ▲ compliance with hygienic handling standards of food and cleanliness management of business premises, ▲ facility standards management, ▲ guidance on personal hygiene management for business owners and cooking workers, and ▲ food poisoning prevention and customer service training.
Minor issues found during the inspection will be corrected immediately on-site, and if serious violations such as expired products, storage or use of cooked food, poor personal hygiene management, and unsanitary kitchen environments are discovered, appropriate administrative actions will be taken.
An official from the county stated, “We must all do our best in our respective positions to prevent food poisoning during the opening period of Boseong Yulpo Solbat Beach,” and added, “Creating an image of Boseong that makes tourists want to return starts with the three major cleanliness campaigns: food, environment, and attire. We ask for the active cooperation of food service establishments in the area.”
