On the 11th, Park Junghyun, the governor of Buyeo County in Chungnam, visited an apple watermelon greenhouse in Jangsan-ri, Sedo-myeon, which suffered damage for the third consecutive year due to record-breaking heavy rainfall, to offer comfort to the farmers.

According to the county, Yanghwa-myeon, Imcheon-myeon, and Sedo-myeon experienced an average of 450mm of torrential rain over three days from the 8th to the 10th.

In particular, during the early morning of the 10th, a downpour of 252mm per hour struck, resulting in approximately 14.8 billion won in damages as of 6 p.m.

Governor Park requested early designation of a special disaster zone from Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sangmin and Chungnam Governor Kim Taeheum, who visited the flood site the previous day.
