Free Provision of Marine Leisure Sports Such as Kayaking and Banana Boat Rides
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Hee-su) announced on the 11th that four beaches, including Gagye Beach, will simultaneously open on the 12th to welcome summer vacationers.
Gagye, Geumgap, Sinjeon, and Gwanmaedo beaches will operate for 38 days until the 15th of next month, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The county plans to minimize inconveniences for vacationers by thoroughly ensuring a safe and pleasant beach environment through △operation of private safety personnel △crackdown on illegal street vendors △food hygiene management △eradication of overcharging △cleanliness management of public restrooms and sandy beaches.

In particular, the beach environment has been improved by reinforcing the sand through the coastal maintenance project in the Gagye district, allowing both local residents and vacationers to enjoy water activities in a comfortable setting. Additionally, various experience programs for vacationers will be offered, including free marine leisure sports such as kayaking and banana boat rides.
A county official stated, “We will maintain close cooperation with related organizations and do our best in safety management to create a safe and pleasant beach. We hope many vacationers will have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday at our county’s beautiful beaches.”
