4by4 announced on the 11th that it has signed a global supply contract for its self-developed image enhancement AI solution, ‘PIXELL’.
The contract partner is ‘Cakap,’ an online education company in Indonesia that provides foreign language learning and vocational training content to approximately 4.5 million members.
4by4 will supply the image enhancement AI solution PIXELL to Cakap in the form of SaaS and API, offering features such as lecture video quality enhancement and transmission efficiency improvement through bitrate reduction.
The selection of 4by4 for the ‘AI Voucher Support Project’ led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) was the catalyst. The two companies have maintained a cooperative relationship for a considerable period, signing an MOU in January this year for ‘maximizing data efficiency and improving content quality of educational videos.’ The AI voucher project selection accelerated the solution’s adoption, followed by additional contract agreements beyond the voucher support.
Cakap has built network optimization functions with AI models optimized for its content and platform. They explained plans to expand and introduce the PIXELL solution not only to currently serviced lecture video content but also to content planned for production.
Yoon Junho, CEO of 4by4, stated, "PIXELL is significant as the first case of direct application to global content services, proving its completeness and marketability as an AI technology solution product." He added, "In addition to ongoing collaborations with domestic content service companies, we expect this contract to accelerate our global market penetration."
The AI Voucher Support Project provides demand companies requiring artificial intelligence (AI) technology with vouchers worth up to 300 million KRW, enabling them to purchase and utilize necessary AI solutions from AI solution providers.
