Seongdong-gu to Begin Public Inspection of Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment Zone District 4 Reorganization Plan (Draft) from the 11th
Sequential Resident Inspection Procedures by District to Expedite Approval of Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment Zone Plan (Draft)... Districts 1 and 2 Completed, District 3 Scheduled for August, Expected to Request Plan Change Decision Within Second Half of the Year
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) will conduct a one-month public inspection of the district unit plan (maintenance plan) decision (change) (draft) for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District Housing Redevelopment Project District 4 in the area of Seongsu 2-ga 219-4 starting from July 11.
The Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District had its maintenance plan established in 2011, but the project has faced difficulties due to the need for simultaneous implementation in four districts to develop large-scale infrastructure, as well as high burden rates and height restrictions.
Accordingly, in June last year, Seoul City prepared a draft change to the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District to enable project promotion by each of the four districts. Based on this, land use plans (drafts) for each district (Districts 1 to 4) have been established, and the maintenance district and maintenance plan are scheduled to be decided and publicly announced.
Currently, the district office is conducting public inspection procedures by district to promptly process the initiation procedures for the district unit plan (maintenance plan) decision (change) (draft) for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District.
First, before March this year, the public inspection and district council opinion hearing for the district unit plan (maintenance plan) decision (change) (draft) of Districts 1 and 2 of the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District Housing Redevelopment Project were completed.
From July 11 to August 12, the public inspection procedure for District 4 will be conducted, and the draft change to the district unit plan can be inspected at the Seongdong-gu Office Residential Maintenance Division, Seongsu 2-ga 1-dong Community Service Center, and the Seongsu 4 Housing Redevelopment Association Office.
In this regard, a residents' briefing session is scheduled for July 18, where explanations and Q&A will be held regarding the main contents of the draft change to the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District, including the land use plans (drafts) for each district (Districts 1 to 4) and the height of buildings applying the 'Urban and Architectural Creative Innovation Design Guidelines.'
The district office plans to prepare the draft change to the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District by reflecting the opinions of residents and stakeholders collected through the public inspection and residents' briefing session. After hearing opinions from the district council in the second half of this year, it will request the decision on the redevelopment (draft) from Seoul City.
The public inspection procedure for District 3 of the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District Housing Redevelopment Project is scheduled to take place in August.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, "I hope this briefing session will serve as an opportunity to enhance residents' understanding of the redevelopment (draft) of the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance District Housing Redevelopment Project, and we will actively collect residents' opinions. We will strive to promote the project at a steady pace through continuous and close cooperation with Seoul City."
