Kyungnam University Signs MOU with Hanwha Systems to Support Corporate Digital Transformation

On the 10th, Kyungnam University signed a business agreement with Hanwha Systems to support the digital transformation of mid-sized and small businesses located in the Changwon National Industrial Complex.


As the realization of the 'digital transformation' of the regional manufacturing industry is gradually becoming visible through cooperation with companies and research institutes, Kyungnam University, which is promoting the Glocal University 30 project with this as its core, has also received a positive signal for its official project designation.

Through the agreement, Hanwha Systems will transfer its know-how and integrated support strategies to Kyungnam University to ensure the successful digital transformation of Hanwha Group affiliates, such as Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Precision Machinery, as well as mid-sized and small partner companies that play a pivotal role in the economy of Changwon and Gyeongnam. Kyungnam University will utilize this technology to focus on leading the digital transformation of small and mid-sized enterprises.


Hong Jeonghyo, Vice President for External Affairs, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to Hanwha Systems for transferring their know-how and integrated support strategies to our university to realize the region's digital transformation, and for assisting Kyungnam University in being selected for the Glocal University 30 project. We will do our best to ensure that the know-how we have received benefits not only Hanwha Group affiliates and partner companies, but also all mid-sized and small businesses in Gyeongnam Province."


Meanwhile, Hanwha Systems is Korea's leading defense and ICT/SW specialized company and serves as the control tower driving the digital transformation of Hanwha Group.
