"We Will Achieve Sustainable Development of Anseong"

The Korea Local Autonomy Management Awards, established by the Korea Institute of Public Administration in 1996 with the full implementation of local autonomy, are given annually to local governments and their leaders who have contributed to regional development and improved residents' quality of life.
The city explained that Mayor Kim was highly evaluated for achieving results across all areas of city administration, including administrative innovation, industrial economy, health and welfare, and culture and tourism, through active communication and leadership based on dialogue at the citizens' level.
Last year, Mayor Kim was recognized for creating future growth engines for Anseong City by securing the government's designation of the 'Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment Specialized Complex.' Notable welfare achievements include the full-scale implementation of free transportation services for seniors and low-income groups, the start of nighttime medical care for children and adolescents, and attracting a public postpartum care center.
The city also strengthened its position as a cultural city. In December last year, Anseong City was the only local government in Gyeonggi Province selected as a target site for the 'Korea Cultural City' development plan hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and was also the first in Gyeonggi Province to be selected as the '2025 East Asia Cultural City.'
Mayor Kim said, "To achieve sustainable development, we will seek new ideas and gather diverse opinions from the local community to realize continuous progress for Anseong."
