All Citizens from the 22nd to the 31st
Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) is encouraging prospective participants to create works as the application period for the ‘Enjoy Yeosu in 60 Seconds, Short-form Video Contest’ approaches.
‘Short-form’ refers to videos under one minute in length, which provide intuitive content without any dull moments, making them highly popular across all age groups and utilized in various fields.
Accordingly, Yeosu City organized the ‘Short-form Video Contest’ last month to promote Yeosu through creative and unique video media and to raise interest in the upcoming 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo.
This contest is open to not only citizens but anyone who loves Yeosu, and details can be found in the announcement posted on the city’s official website.
The total prize money for the contest is 7 million KRW, with nine works selected based on judging criteria: one grand prize winner will receive 2 million KRW, two excellence award winners 1 million KRW each, and six encouragement award winners 500,000 KRW each. However, each participant may submit up to two entries, but duplicate awards are not allowed.
A city official stated, “Considering that video production may take some time, we ask those wishing to participate to start creating their videos promptly,” and added, “The city will also strive to produce administrative content that resonates with many who love Yeosu.”
