Gumi City Holds Briefing on Progress of 2024 Gumi Ramyeon Festival

Held Around Gumi Station from November 1 to 3

On the 10th, the city of Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, held a progress report meeting for the '2024 Gumi Ramyeon Festival' in the main conference room at City Hall, attended by over 40 participants including the Romantic Culture Festival Committee, Gumi Policy Research Association, Festival Planning Team, and event execution agencies.

At the meeting, Yoon Sungjin, head of the Festival Planning Team, explained the overall direction, implementation system, and detailed programs of the '2024 Gumi Ramyeon Festival.'

Celebrating its third edition this year, the Gumi Ramyeon Festival will be held for three days from November 1 to 3 in the area around Gumi Station.

To maximize festival promotion, the city is accelerating preparations by pre-releasing the concept and official key visual (core scene) under the theme ‘Ramyun Street 475, the World’s Longest Ramyeon Restaurant.’

This year’s festival will feature various ramen-themed zones such as Ramyeon Rediscovery, Ramyeon Complete Mastery, and The Essence of Ramyeon. The event will be significantly enhanced compared to last year, with expanded content including ramyeon exhibitions and pop-ups, a new-mix & food zone, a ramyeon restaurant & ramyeon bar, allowing visitors to taste and experience everything about ramyeon.

Mayor Kim Jangho stated, “Selected as an ‘Excellent Festival designated by Gyeongbuk Province for 2024-2025,’ the Gumi Ramyeon Festival will focus on becoming a regionally specialized festival for city branding, creating a safe and pleasant festival environment in the urban center, and developing the festival based on indicators of Korea’s cultural tourism festivals. We will ensure thorough preparation so that it can grow into a global festival.”
