Goheung-gun Public Officials Share Warmth, Donate to 'Cheonsarang House'

Over 700 Public Officials Join Forces to Create 'Cheonsarang House'

Gongyeongmin, the governor of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that on the 9th, a donation ceremony for the ‘31st Cheonsarang House’ was held at Dongsin Village, Duwon-myeon, with about 50 attendees including Governor Gongyeongmin, the chairman of the Goheung County Council, council members, heads of organizations, and local residents.

The donated ‘31st Cheonsarang House’ is a 61.65㎡ prefabricated house, created through public-private cooperation including voluntary donations from public officials, construction work by the Love House Team (Najin Construction), architectural design by Hyein Architecture Office, cadastral surveying by LX Land Information Corporation Goheung Branch, and donations of daily necessities from social organizations and residents of Duwon-myeon, providing a warm home.

Governor Gongyeongmin said in his congratulatory speech, “I am very pleased and grateful that our public officials and volunteers have united with one heart and one mind to provide a comfortable living space for neighbors in need,” adding, “Through Cheonsarang House, the entire village becomes one, and all residents feel united. I hope the family receiving the new house gains hope, courage, and happiness in their new home.”

Meanwhile, Goheung-gun’s Cheonsarang House building project has been led by over 700 public officials under the county, who have voluntarily participated since 2003 to support low-income families living in poor housing conditions. To date, they have raised about 870 million won and donated a total of 31 Cheonsarang Houses.
