Volkswagen Korea announced that pre-orders for the new model of the large sport utility vehicle (SUV) Touareg will begin on the 10th. It will be launched domestically next month.
This new model is a third-generation facelift with redesigned exterior and interior, and it includes the latest safety and convenience features. The front daytime running lights have been changed to a single-line LED, and the headlights feature a design with three bulbs on each side for the first time. The rear lamp design has also been updated.
The intelligent lighting system IQ.Light HD Matrix Headlights have been introduced for the first time in the Volkswagen brand. This lighting system contains more than 38,000 LEDs and combines speed, navigation, and location information to provide lighting suitable for driving conditions. The technology has been further advanced to partially illuminate without obstructing the view of oncoming drivers.
The driver's instrument cluster is 12 inches, and the center features a 15-inch MIB infotainment system. The audio system is the Danish brand Dynaudio Consequence, which is standard across all trims. Soft door closing and rear seat door curtains have been added. The advanced driver assistance system IQ.Drive is applied as standard. The company explained that a roof road sensor function, which combines the body control system and advanced driving devices, has been added to enhance driving stability while supporting dynamic performance.
The price is 100.99 million KRW for the Prestige trim and 106.99 million KRW for the R-Line trim (including VAT). This is an increase of more than 10 million KRW compared to the previous model. It comes with a 5-year/150,000 km warranty and an accident repair total care service that supports up to five instances of deductible payments when repairing insured accident vehicles at official centers. Customers receive a 3 million KRW discount when selling their existing vehicle as a used car, and an additional 1.5 million KRW discount when repurchasing a Volkswagen. There is also a promotion program with the exclusive financial company.
