Vice Mayor Cho Myungrae, Joint Business Trip with Changwon National University
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has embarked on a 7-night, 9-day business trip to Poland and the Netherlands starting from the 10th, aiming to benchmark successful cases that will drive innovative growth in the latter half of the 8th popularly elected administration and to strengthen international exchanges.
This trip was arranged at the request of Changwon National University, with a delegation of five including Cho Myungrae, the Second Vice Mayor of Changwon Special City, and Park Minwon, President of Changwon National University.
In Poland, the first destination, the delegation plans to visit WB Group, the largest private defense company, as well as Warsaw University of Technology and Poznan University of Technology. After moving to the Netherlands, starting from July 15, they will visit major organizations and universities such as NIDV (the defense industry association), Fontys University, and Eindhoven University of Technology to explore cooperation in various fields including the defense industry, education, culture, and urban development.
Notably, in September last year, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, personally visited Poznan, Poland, and signed an “International Friendship City Agreement” with the Mayor of Poznan. In January this year, the Mayor of Poznan visited Changwon, continuing the amicable relationship, and this trip is expected to further promote active exchanges.
Vice Mayor Cho stated, “We will strive to benchmark successful cases in various fields such as the outstanding defense industry, university education systems, urban policies, and culture and tourism of Poland and the Netherlands, and effectively incorporate them into our city administration.” He added, “Taking this opportunity of the joint overseas trip with Changwon National University, we plan to establish an even closer cooperative system with the university.”
