Opening of 'Gotuh·Sebit Tourist Information Center' At the opening ceremony held on the 9th, Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, Ko Seon-jae, Chairperson of the Seocho District Council, Lee Suk-ja, Chairperson of the Seoul Regional Economy Committee, as well as key representatives from nearby commercial districts including Kim Seon-jin, Vice President of Shinsegae Gangnam Branch, and Jeong Gwi-yeon, Representative of the Gotumol Merchants Association, attended. On the afternoon of the 9th, Seocho-gu, Seoul announced on the 10th that it held the opening ceremony of the 'Goter·Sebit Tourist Information Center' located in the underground public pedestrian passage connecting Express Bus Terminal Station and Banpo Hangang Park, and officially began its operation.


The 'Goter·Sebit Tourist Information Center' is operated through a business agreement between Seocho-gu, the Seoul Tourism Foundation, and the Seoul Tourism Association. The operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., open year-round, and professional tourist interpreters are assigned to provide interpretation services in three languages: English, Japanese, and Chinese. Currency exchange machines are also installed and operated.


The opening of the Goter·Sebit Tourist Information Center is a response to the recent surge in domestic and international tourists and the expansion of tourism demand in areas such as Gotomall, Central City, and Banpo Hangang Park. It is regarded as an important first step to develop Seocho-gu as a representative tourist destination in Seoul.


In particular, strengthening the connectivity of tourism resources between the Express Bus Terminal commercial district and Banpo Hangang Park, along with establishing an integrated information system, is expected to boost the momentum for the creation of a tourism special zone promoted by Seocho-gu.


Additionally, the public pedestrian passage where the Goter·Sebit Tourist Information Center is located features the '24 Hours in Seoul' mural created by 24 famous domestic and international artists, and the 'Picasso Mural' created by Spanish graffiti artist Eduardo Luque (stage name LaRon), providing abundant attractions for tourists.


The opening ceremony was attended by Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu; Ko Seon-jae, Chairperson of the Seocho District Council; Lee Suk-ja, Chairperson of the Seoul Regional Economy Committee; as well as key representatives from nearby commercial districts including Kim Seon-jin, Vice President of Shinsegae Gangnam Branch, and Jeong Gwi-yeon, Representative of the Gotomall Merchants Association.


Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, stated, “From the Express Bus Terminal area to the Banpo Hangang Park area, we will develop this into a complex urban cultural space and tourism special zone rich in sights, food, and entertainment.”
