Yangcheon-gu Offers Special Lectures Including Summer Vacation English Classes, Drone Racing, and Game Development Yangcheon-gu will operate native English classrooms and digital experiential future education programs until September. Provided by Yangcheon-gu.

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) is operating digital experiential future education programs such as English classes conducted by native speakers, drone racing, robot soccer, and game development for children and adolescents in the district from this month until September during the summer vacation.


This special lecture is part of the 2024 Yangcheon Future Education District project and was planned to provide various educational programs that are difficult to experience at school during the vacation period, helping students develop the competencies needed for future society.


The "Native Speaker English Special Lecture" is aimed at elementary school students from grades 1 to 6, where native English-speaking instructors from English-speaking countries conduct lively English classes. It is an English class integrated with various fields such as science, art, and board games to increase interest in learning English, while enhancing professionalism through English conversation (beginner to intermediate) classes that improve pronunciation and communication skills.


The "Smart Yangcheon Future Education Center" vacation special lectures offer a total of 11 courses including robot soccer, 3D printing, drone racing, and game development for students from 1st grade elementary to 1st grade middle school. Classes are scheduled from Monday to Saturday, morning and afternoon, to allow intensive experience of future technologies during the short summer vacation.


Applications for participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Yangcheon-gu Lifelong Learning Portal from the 10th to the 22nd of this month. Classes consist of 3 to 10 sessions depending on the course, and detailed information can be found on the Yangcheon-gu Lifelong Learning Portal. Mayor Lee Gi-jae stated, "We will strive to expand support for English education during the summer vacation and provide future education opportunities suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution era to complement gaps in public education."
