Participation of 19 Domestic Companies... Booth Operation
Opportunities for Cooperation and Consultation with Global Partners
World's Largest Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Exhibition
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 10th that they will operate an integrated Korea Pavilion at the semiconductor equipment and materials exhibition "SEMICON West," held from the 9th to the 11th in San Francisco, USA.
The integrated Korea Pavilion will feature booths operated by 19 domestic companies. Companies from various fields, ranging from materials and equipment necessary for the semiconductor industry to parts and process solutions, will discuss cooperation opportunities with global partners.
Near the exhibition hall, a "K-SEMICON Partnership Day" will be held to support not only companies operating booths at the Korea Pavilion but also Korean companies participating individually in the exhibition, enabling additional consultations and networking with key buyers. Using KOTRA's export support platform "BuyKorea" (buykorea.org), buyer-tailored consultations will be arranged, and digital marketing for companies participating in the Korea Pavilion will be supported through an online trade show.
This year marks the 53rd SEMICON West, regarded as the world's largest semiconductor equipment and materials exhibition. As of last year, 573 companies from 41 countries worldwide participated. Under this year's slogan, "Stronger Together," various cooperation measures regarding supply chain stability, sustainability, and workforce supply will be discussed.
Kim Hyung-il, head of KOTRA's Silicon Valley Trade Center, said, "Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has established itself as a core of industrial capability, and semiconductor demand related to this is continuously increasing. Competition among companies on the supply side is becoming increasingly fierce, so opportunities and crises coexist simultaneously."
