President Yoon Suk-yeol, currently visiting Hawaii, USA, received a report in the early morning of the 10th on domestic damage caused by heavy rain, including an elevator flooding accident, and urgently instructed to ensure thorough rescue operations and damage prevention.


On the same day, regarding the domestic heavy rain, President Yoon stated, "Under the leadership of the Minister of the Interior and Safety, mobilize all available personnel and equipment to prioritize rescue operations and damage prevention."


He also urged, as conveyed by Presidential Office spokesperson Kim Soo-kyung, "Quickly evacuate residents from high-risk areas such as landslide zones, and strictly enforce preemptive control over facilities at risk of flooding."
