Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the opening ceremony of the Eco Washing reusable container cleaning project team at the Yeongdeungpo Community Self-Support Center (Director Kim Kyung-mi) held in Singil-dong on the afternoon of the 9th.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District, Jung Hae-sik, Director of the Korea Self-Support Welfare Development Institute, Yoon Hye-yeon, President of the Seoul Regional Self-Support Center Association, and Yoo Hye-kyung, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Self-Support Center, attended to celebrate the opening.
The district provides jobs to 15 social service-type self-support workers in the region through the operation of the joint brand "Eco Washing" for reusable container cleaning projects launched by the Korea Self-Support Welfare Development Institute, a public institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The workers perform tasks such as collecting and cleaning reusable containers from a total of five locations, including Dream Plus School.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, said, "Through the operation of Eco Washing, I hope to provide work opportunities to self-support workers in the region and create a win-win situation by reducing the use of disposable products." He added, "We will continue to prepare customized education and various projects to support the stable settlement of vulnerable groups in the local community."
